Puddles

The winter we moved into our house, four years ago, there was substantial rain. One part of the backyard flooded regularly. Unfortunately, those puddles haven't been seen since, until this weekend.

What a delight!

I wasn't the only person who welcomed the rain.

Soon, his sisters had to join him.

And of course, splashing was the most fun of all!

Ha - the raincoats and gumboots seem kind of pointless, don't they! Could be worse - the 'classic puddle moment' every Mum hates - running late, just walking to the car, puddle-enthusiast child doing a running jump into the rouge puddle on the driveway and soaking entire outfit (his and mine). Still - look at the joy on those kids faces. Totally worth the wet clothes for.
